James Cleary has appeared for a local authority before the High Court, and against King’s Counsel, in a case involving an application to restrict the publication in the media of the name of a social worker and children’s guardian.

Both were due to give evidence in a murder trial for parents accused of killing their child. The case has been recently published as A Local Authority v The Mother & Ors [2022] EWHC 3640 (Fam).
