Following the result of the Criminal Bar Association’s ballot yesterday, members of chambers will be suspending the days of action. We wish to thank our solicitors, who have supported members of chambers, and our colleagues at the Bar, both in the East Midlands and nationally.

The action was taken in support for the Criminal Bar Association’s demand that the government provide a commitment to support the independent Criminal Bar through adequate funding and ensure that the profession has a sustainable future.

We understand that the action has caused a great deal of disruption and inconvenience to court users. We will continue to strive to provide the best possible standard of service to each of our clients. We thank you for your support and understanding during the last few months.
