Samuel is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and was called to the Bar in November 2019. He studied Archaeology at the University of Sheffield for his undergraduate degree before completing both the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at Nottingham Law School.
In 2020, Samuel successfully completed a Criminal Pupillage at Chambers under the supervision of Mr Jonathan Straw (now DJ (MC) Jonathan Straw). He is currently a Grade 1 CPS Panel Advocate but enjoys a varied practice that balances both prosecution and defence work in the Youth, Magistrates’ and Crown Courts.
Samuel is regularly instructed by the CPS, the National Probation Service and defence solicitors to act for them in a variety of different matters including breach of court orders and traffic, domestic abuse, dangerous dog, dishonesty, drug, violence and public order offences.
Outside of work, Samuel is a keen sportsman with particular interests in rugby, golf and football.
