Summary
Stuart joined KCH Garden Square in 2011, having previously worked for the Crown Prosecution Service in both Sheffield and Nottingham. His wealth of experience from working on the Crown Court unit and as the crown advocate clerk in Nottingham has given him a unique and thorough understanding of a clients expectations from Chambers.
As Civil & Family Practice Director, Stuart is responsible for the development and implementation of career development strategies for Civil and Family Counsel. He also oversees the Civil & Family Practice Management team to maintain high standards in relation to diary management and billing.
Stuart is keen to support team members, putting in place supporting pathways for progression, and as a qualified Mental Health First Aider he is alive to the wellbeing needs of his team. His support for clerks is not limited to KCH Garden Square as he is also a mentor on The Institute of Barristers’ Clerks’ Mentoring Scheme, offering support and guidance to help all clerks within the program reach their potential.
