Summary
Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Matthew worked in a cross-specialty support role at a Lexcel-accredited regional law firm, where he assisted over 20 concurrent fee earners. Matthew later went onto complete the BPC and pursued a Master of Laws in Bar Practice while working with Warwickshire County Council. In this role, he aided vulnerable families and asylum seekers across Coventry and Warwickshire by improving their access to necessary educational resources through the provision of education transport.
Prior to pupillage, Matthew acted as a paralegal at a second Lexcel-accredited regional law firm, this time specialising in bulk litigation. In this role, Matthew oversaw an extensive portfolio of over 4,000 cases from a diverse range of clients, including both family-owned enterprises and large corporations. On a day-to-day basis, Matthew also conducted effective out-of-court negotiations on behalf of clients.
Matthew has personal ties to the Midlands and will be available for instruction in Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire.
