Summary

“After graduating from De Montfort University in 2019 with a first-class BA (Hons) in Criminology, Lauren continued her education at the same institution, completing the Graduate Diploma in Law. This academic foundation was complemented by extensive practical experience; while studying for her undergraduate degree, she volunteered as a Special Constable with Leicestershire Police from 2016 to 2019. Lauren later undertook the Bar Practice Course (BPC) and a Master’s degree at the University of Law in Nottingham, graduating in 2021 with a result of Very Competent. During this time, she was also awarded the Dean’s Award for Excellence.

Lauren’s commitment to advocacy and volunteering deepened through various roles during her BPC, including advising individuals on housing matters in a legal advice clinic and serving as a student advisor for the Midlands Employment Rights Advice. Following her call to the Bar by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in November 2021, Lauren completed pupillage at the Crown Prosecution Service in 2022. Upon successful completion, Lauren spent a year working as a Crown Prosecutor with the CPS. Whilst at the CPS, Lauren was nominated for the CPS Award for Excellence for Excellence in Prosecution.

In April 2024, Lauren transitioned to the independent bar, initially focusing on a criminal practice. In August 2025, Lauren shifted her professional focus to civil matters, where she now undertakes a diverse range of work. Outside of her practice, Lauren enjoys pursuing her interests in motorsports, reading, and hiking.”
