Anne is instructed to represent all parties in care and other public law applications. Her availability is often specifically sought out and requested to represent the most vulnerable of clients in what can be extremely complex proceedings. This can often include those with severe mental health difficulties (including those represented by the Official Solicitor), those who feel the ‘system’ has let them down or are in fact children themselves (either as a parent or with the capacity to instruct directly).

Anne’s practice regularly comprises of cases that involve significant serious allegations of harm against children (including extreme violence and/or sexual abuse) extremely complex factual issues (which can often mean multiple parties and numerous allegations) and difficult/unique legal points, including those with no underlying established precedent or where there are issues in relation to international relocation.

Anne is instructed on behalf of parents, children and other family members (usually as intervenors) in all manner of private law

applications. She is often instructed for clients who are either vulnerable or who are alleged to have committed serious offences that are subject to complex fact finding proceedings.

More often than not, Anne’s cases involve serious allegations against the other parent or family members such as murder, rape, and other serious offences. Anne’s case load also encompasses cases involving issues such as who a child should live with when both parents are deceased or whether a parent should be allowed to move abroad with a child.
