Mark is an experienced trial advocate in the Crown Court and believes in providing a thorough service to professional and lay clients alike. He recognises the need to take an early interest in his caseload and to manage cases from the outset.
Mark was appointed as a Recorder in the Crown Court in 2018.

Mark has a strong and well developed practice in all aspects of criminal law. He has extensive knowledge in cases involving serious violence and the supply of drugs. His particular experience is in cases of sexual offences. He is often requested for sensitive cases involving allegations of a sexual nature and has defended and prosecuted in high profile police operations involving child exploitation.

Featured in Legal 500 as “Well regarded in child exploitation cases and experienced in matters involving serious historical abuse allegations”, Mark has a proven track record in tackling the most complex and sensitive of cases.

Mark is fluent in French, having studied and worked in France and Brussels; his recent travelling included living and working in Los Angeles. He is a keen cyclist and in 2012 completed the journey from John O’Groats to Land’s End in 10 days.

Prosecution junior in child exploitation case in Leicester. Principal defendant charged with multiple rapes, arranging child prostitution and having a prohibited firearm.

Defence Counsel for a member of organised crime gang charged with the supply of class A drugs. 10 week trial.

Defended in large scale fraud involving Access to Work fund for deaf employees. Defendant charged with fraud over a number of years and against multiple deaf complainants. 6 week trial.
