Lauren was called to the Bar in 2017 by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. She studied Philosophy and Theology at University of Exeter before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law, Bar Professional Training Course and a Master of Laws with Merit (LL.M) in Professional Legal Skills at City University, London. Lauren completed a Crime Pupillage under the supervision of Mark Watson.


Prior to completing Pupillage, Lauren worked as a paralegal for a criminal defence firm where she managed a vast caseload and gained extensive experience in the preparation of Crown Court cases. Lauren also worked for Victim Support where she worked with the police and other agencies to support victims of crime. She regularly conducted risk assessments (DASH/CAADA) with victims of domestic violence and received extensive training in handling victims of serious crime.

Additional Information

Alongside her legal studies, Lauren worked with a fellow student to develop and deliver a short course of criminal law workshops to young people in schools across East London. The course was designed as a preventative measure for those at risk of offending and topics included sexual offences and drug and alcohol offences.

She also volunteered with the School Exclusion Project, advocating on behalf of parents of excluded pupils and acted as a Mentor for A level students through a Widening Participations scheme.
