Karen was called to the Bar in 2001. Before joining KCH Garden Square in 2006, Karen worked in private practice and in 2005 gained a Masters in Law from Kings College London. Karen practices as a Family and Public Access barrister and is a qualified Mediator.
Karen has considerable experience of Public Law and Private Law Children Act Proceedings, with a particular emphasis on complex finding of fact hearings; appearing in all levels of Court. She acts on behalf of Local Authorities, parents, grandparents, children and Children’s Guardians and also has experience in representing vulnerable clients and those with mental health and learning disabilities. Karen’s approach to her clients is noted as being highly personable, warm, open minded and thorough, be they lay or professional clients. She is known for her sympathetic, clear and honest advice and has a reputation for fighting her client’s interests.
