Lynsey Knott

Year of Call 2006

Lynsey was called to the Bar in 2006 and practises in all areas of criminal law, both prosecuting and defending. She has a vast amount of trial experience in the Magistrates’ Court and Youth Court, involving cases of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Harassment, Robbery, VAT Fraud and Benefit Fraud. Lynsey has successfully contested a number of applications for Anti-Social Behaviour Orders and Football Banning Orders.

 

Summary

Although currently a Grade 1 Prosecutor she has a range of Grade 2 experience including trials, Appeals Against Convictions and Appeals Against Sentence; as well as drafting and advancing legal arguments.

Lynsey has also been briefed in probation breaches, parole hearings, privately funded Road Traffic Cases and prosecutions for the Department of Work and Pensions.

Lynsey practices as a Criminal barrister.

 

Additional information

Lynsey studied law at the University of Leicester and the Bar Vocational Course at Nottingham Trent Law School.

She is a member of the Midland Circuit.
