Louise studied Law at Leicester and completed her Bar training at Nottingham Law School, before being called to the Bar in 2004. She practices family law with particular interest in cases involving children, undertaking numerous fact finding cases involving serious allegations of violence, including shaken babies, and sexual abuse.
Since joining Chambers Louise has undertaken a variety of family work in the Magistrates, County Courts and High Courts acting for Guardians (including NYAS Guardians), parents, grandparents, interveners and local authorities.
She has acted extensively for parties, including interveners, involving ancillary relief and cohabitation disputes.
Louise has particular expertise in the growing area of Forced Marriage Protection Orders and has been involved in a recent High Court case where complex arguments about disclosure were considered. She is sensitive to the difficult issues that arise in such matters.
