Ian is a senior criminal barrister with over 22 years experience of both defending and prosecuting. In this time, Ian has been praised in the Chambers Guide for making reliable and effective decisions.
Developing a practice concentrating predominantly in the areas of serious violence (including homicide), firearms, rape, sexual assault and child abuse. However, Ian is regularly instructed in all areas of ‘blue collar’ crime including cases involving drugs and dishonesty.

In recent times Ian has been instructed in a number of high profile East Midlands cases involving defending an attempted murder (by shooting) and child cruelty (surrounding the death of an eight year old child).
His past achievements include settling extradition papers with the US Federal Government.
